How Delivery Works at the Hilton President
Bell-stand hand-off. Delivery lands ahead of your check-in window, tagged with your name. The bell captain holds the scooter — inside the main lobby in dedicated staging space — and hands it to you at check-in with your luggage. The President’s bell staff know our workflow; deliveries here run smoothly.
Depart: return to the bell stand, we collect the same day.
Accessibility at the Hilton President
The President is a restored 1926 historic hotel — the building has classic lines, marble finishes, and a dramatic lobby — but the 2005 renovation retrofitted accessibility throughout. Accessible features include:
- Accessible rooms with roll-in showers, accessible vanities, and wide doorways (confirm availability at booking; the smaller room count means specific accessibility rooms are popular)
- Elevator access to all guest floors
- Ramped access to The Drum Room (the historic lobby-level bar and restaurant)
- Accessible seating at all dining and lounge areas
- Valet parking with accessible options (self-park is limited downtown; valet is the usual approach)
The lobby floor is flat throughout and easy to navigate on a scooter. The mezzanine level (where meeting rooms are located) is elevator-accessible.
What’s Walkable From the Hilton President
- Bartle Hall / KCCC — ~4 blocks southwest, easy flat roll
- T-Mobile Center — 3 blocks south
- Power & Light District — 2 blocks east
- KC Streetcar (Metro Center stop) — 1 block, connects to Crossroads, River Market, and the Plaza

For visitors who want a downtown stay with more character than a chain property, the Hilton President is the strongest historic-hotel option in our delivery network.
