What we consider
KC Mobility Scooter Rentals LLC is a small, veteran-owned Kansas City hospitality rental business. We can support a handful of events a year, not dozens. Requests that fit best:
- KC-metro local. Events in Kansas City, Overland Park, Lenexa, Leawood, Olathe, Lee's Summit, Independence, the Northland, or adjacent Northeast Kansas / Northwest Missouri. National-scope sponsorships aren't a fit.
- Accessibility-adjacent. Events where mobility-scooter availability is genuinely useful for attendees — nonprofit walks or runs with route options, senior expos, veteran family events, ADA-awareness programs, and similar.
- Veteran-focused causes. Our founder is a 20-year U.S. Army retiree; veteran nonprofits get meaningful consideration.
- Senior and mobility-advocacy organizations. Kansas City senior centers, mobility-equipment advocacy, aging-in-place programs, post-rehabilitation community groups.
- Clear event window and deliverables. We need to know dates, audience size, what sponsorship tier you're asking about, and what the deliverable looks like (logo on materials, scooter presence at the event, naming on a route, etc.).
What sponsorship typically looks like
Three forms, in rough order of frequency:
- In-kind rental presence. We bring a fleet of scooters to your event free for attendee use during event hours, staff the mobility- support table, and pick up after close. This is usually the most useful form of sponsorship for event audiences.
- Cash contribution tied to mobility access. For fundraisers and community programs where the cash goes to mobility services (rental assistance for a specific attendee, subsidized equipment for a program participant, etc.), we can contribute directly.
- Sponsor-tier naming and logo placement. Standard sponsor package with logo on event materials, acknowledgement from the podium, booth space. Usually combined with one of the two above.
What we need from your request
Send an email with the following — the more complete your request, the faster we can respond:
- Your organization name and 501(c)(3) status, if applicable
- Event name, date, and KC-metro location
- Expected attendance and audience description
- Specific sponsorship ask (tier, amount, in-kind, naming)
- Deadline you need a decision by
- Contact name, phone, email for follow-up
Timing
We respond within 10 business days. For in-kind rental presence, we need at least six weeks of lead time to plan fleet and staffing. For cash contributions, 30 days. Silent auction items and giveaways are handled on our donations page — faster turnaround, lower threshold.
What we rarely sponsor
- Events outside the Kansas City metro / Northeast Kansas / Northwest Missouri
- For-profit corporate events with no accessibility or community angle
- Events already oversubscribed by our calendar
- Political campaign events
- Lead-generation or list-building programs without a genuine KC-community tie
A decline isn't a judgment on your cause — our capacity is just limited. Many declined requests we'd happily revisit a year later when the calendar opens up. Re-asks are welcome.
